ACRE works with our partners in the Bargaining for the Common Good network to advocate for pension strategies that will address community issues while also meeting workers’ needs. Currently, pensions—which amount to nearly $6 trillion in assets for municipal and state workers alone—are invested in some of the worst corporate actors in our economy, like gentrifying real estate developers and privatized healthcare companies.
ACRE supports and produces research, leads trainings with rank-and-file union members, and publishes media around pension strategies in order to help build a movement of workers who will demand that their money be invested to help, not hurt, workers and their communities.
